A ghost light is a single lightbulb on a metal stand that is left energized on the stage of a theater when the theater is unoccupied and should otherwise be completely dark. This is common practice throughout theaters all over the country. Our first introduction to the ghost light was when the ghost light at the Bucks County Playhouse had been found switched on the entire time the theater had been closed. The ghost light is said to allow light for the ghosts to perform at night, so the theater performances will be left uninterrupted. You will find a ghost light in every room to light your way.
